Disputing is your legal right under the rules of the Central Bank of Egypt
Rules & Regulations of the Central Bank of Egypt regarding the Credit Bureaus.
Summary of Your Rights
- Consumers have the right to request at anytime a copy of their credit report by filling a pre-designed form specially designed by the Credit Bureau for this purpose.
- Consumers have the right to dispute negative, Obsolete & Erroneous information contained in their credit report within 15 business days of receiving their copy of the credit report, otherwise, this will considered a mutual agreement & a consent of the accuracy of all information listed on their credit report.
- Consumers can support their dispute with any documents referring to the disputed accounts the purpose of the dispute.

- Consumers may request a re-investigation - deletion - correction or addition of any information listed &/or missing on/from their credit report.
- Credit Bureau must examine consumer's disputes & perform the correction of the disputed accounts if the error occurred due to mishandling of the information from the Credit Bureau's side, or to send it to the information provider for examination within 10 days from the receipt of consumer's dispute
- Information provider must examine the dispute & advise the Credit Bureau of the result whether, the disputed accounts are accurate (Documentation must be provided to Credit Bureau to support examination results) or the disputed accounts contain an error & such an error has been corrected accordingly.
